GP6 STOCKPORT ARC – 7th March 2010
Well what a superb Sunny day at Stockport Goyt Valley Middle Farm at its best, good company, what more could you ask for ??
The day started of very cold there was ice on the car , the course was being put out as we arrived . Most people had some strange scores; I for one could not hit a thing initially; however, as the morning sunshine came through with a superb blue sky this soon warmed everyone up. The strange thing that happened for me was the warmer temperature gave more accuracy to my rifle and half way through the course I could not miss a target but by then the scene was set.
Most of the usual friendly faces were there along with a few newcomers, the safety speech was conducted by Richard Lees and by 10.30 we were off up and running, at the start there was also quite a bit of wind, which was tricky gusting, which also caused problems.
The best score on the day was by Rob Oneil AA , we continued with the springer class the winner of which will be decided at the last GP, the scores for the day should be up later, The Golden bunny was won by Stuart Swindells.

We had the new Piston Class, which was well attended, along with the Northern sporter
Class.
Steve Hughes laid on some nice pea soup, and there were plenty of sausage
baps to go round.
There was 5 bottles of wine drawn against entry tickets and the
golden bunny winner was Sam Bar.
I very good day was had by all! And a big thanks
to all who made it happen at Tawd Vale.
The next shoot will be a STOCKPORT GP6 which
should also be good shoot.
